Sometimes changing the worn Driveshaft is necessary. Burrs on the cruciform cutouts and wear on the gears can cause quite a few problems, which will ultimately stop a precise gear change. Most of the time milage and riding style can cause issues with this., so changing this is a must!
Make sure you check the threads as well, Damaged threads can cause the rear hub not to secure properly on the shaft.
